Directorate of
Employment, Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) has
launched the National Career Service (NCS) to enable
aspiring youth to pursue right career choice according
to their aptitude. It was launched by Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on 20 July 2015 as part of government's
focus on providing right skills and generating
employment.
The National Career
Service aims to provide varied employment services to
the stakeholders through its nationwide portal
www.ncs.gov.in and its network
of 100 Model Career Centers (MCC) spread across the
country. NCS brings together Career Centers, Jobseekers,
Career Counsellors, Skill Providers and Employers onto a
single platform.
Model Career
Centre
The MoLE aims to
covert the existing nationwide network of 978 Employment
Exchanges into Career Centers. In the Initial phase, 100
centers are being established as Model Career Centers
which will act as a model for rest of the centers to
follow.
The MCCs are
primarily being established by transforming existing
employment exchanges, however, other parties such as
private bodies, universities or skill providing
institutions have also been invited to set up the same
provided they fulfil the basic criteria for establishing
MCC in their campus.
The Ministry has thus
approved Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP), Tirupati
to set up one of the first 100 MCCs being established
across the nation. This initiative aims to provide a
variety of employment related services with primary
focus on Career Counselling which will help the
jobseekers to make the right career choices.
Therefore, this
centre in addition to serving Sanskrit students in
career and employment would also be catering to the
needs of the entire Tirupati location and nearby areas.
Model Career Centre
acts as an Employment Exchange and it will be a
reservoir of skilled talent pool where Industry can tap
in from. This will be to help millions of youth entering
the workforce, to pursue the right career choice
according to their aptitude and ability.
We also enhance
personality and confidence of the youth before entering
the workforce though our short term employability
training called BRIDGE conducted with support from BOSCH
CSR which uses a blend of offline and online learning
methods.
