New Additions

Printed books numbered 5000 and manuscripts numbered 87 were added to
the respective collections during the year. The Descriptive
catalogue is being prepared for both Palm Leaf and Paper
Manuscripts. The Library has subscribed for 160 Indian Journals
and Periodicals and also 7 Foreign Journals.

Library Users

The University Library consists of 1500 members. The number of people
using the Library has increased. Five hundred members are visiting
per day in an average on working days and three hundred members on
holidays.

Automation
The Library is funded by UGC under the project of INFLIBNET for
automation purpose.
The Library completed its automation of Acquisition, Cataloguing
and Circulation sections. OPAC facility has already been provided
to the users. The automation of Journals and Periodicals Section
is under progress. We are also providing telephonic and e-mail
replies for the users of Library regarding the availability of
books in our collection. Internet facility is also provided to the
students, scholars and faculty members in the Library.
